Root canal treatment - Endodontics

Root canal treatment is performed at the highest level in our practice. In 2020, dentist Philipp Kern earned the "Specialization in Endodontology" from the Hessian State Chamber of Dentists, as well as the "Chamber Certificate in Advanced Training in Endodontology" from the Hessian State Chamber of Dentists.
This allows us to use state-of-the-art methods to preserve your teeth, which otherwise have a significantly poorer prognosis.
We use electrometric length determination, mechanical root canal preparation, and mechanical root canal disinfection in our practice.
With excellent and direct illumination and magnification aids, difficult root canal systems can be located and treated.
Teeth that already have a root canal filling and whose previous treatment has failed can also be preserved with further treatment (retreatment).
In certain circumstances, an apicoectomy makes sense when a root canal filling is present. In a minor operation under local anesthesia, the gum is folded aside, the infected root tip is trimmed, the area is filled, and a small suture is applied.
A tooth treated in this way can remain in the jaw for years after being crowned and serves as a functional chewing unit.
